Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Univision App at 4.4 against TVmia's 2.9. Univision App also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (16K vs 77). TVmia's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (32% vs 15%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Univision App holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Univision App has 16K ratings behind it against 77, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Univision App's written reviews are positive against 32% of TVmia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Univision App ships an update every 2 months, TVmia every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
