Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: mLiveViewLite at 100% against GV's 20%. mLiveViewLite also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.6). GV's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (1.6K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GV sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. mLiveViewLite asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

GV holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GV has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of GV's written reviews are positive against 100% of mLiveViewLite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

GV ships an update every 3 months, mLiveViewLite every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and July 18, 2026 respectively.
