Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Deco Deck at 5.0 against Monorail's 3.9. Monorail's advantage is ratings volume (851 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Monorail sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Deco Deck sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Deco Deck holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monorail has 851 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
Monorail ships an update every 4 weeks, Deco Deck every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
