Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Moose Math at 76% against Fraction Circles's 25%. Moose Math also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (588 vs 1). Fraction Circles's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 11.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Fraction Circles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Moose Math has 588 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Fraction Circles's written reviews are positive against 76% of Moose Math's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Fraction Circles ships an update every 12 months, Moose Math every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
