Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Chub. at 5.0 against Insulterator's 2.8. Chub. also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 47 months). Insulterator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chub. sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Insulterator asks for nothing beyond the download.
Chub. holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Insulterator's written reviews are positive against 67% of Chub.'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Insulterator ships an update every 47 months, Chub. fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
