About

Ultimate Switch

Features

I created this app for my brother, so that we could continue to play our childhood favourite game together despite him now living halfway across the world. It’s both a faithful digital recreation of a classic, and the birth of the Ultimate way to play; bringing new rules and features that are the product of years of quality time spent together. Whether you’re playing with someone in the same room or across an ocean, I hope this game brings you the same shared happiness it has given us for years. PLAY YOUR WAY • VS Computer — 3 difficulty levels with over 60 AI opponents, each with their own name and personality • Pass & Play — hand the phone around the table like the old days • Online — play with friends or strangers through Game Center or public lobbies • Tournaments — 16-player single elimination brackets against AI opponents TWO GAME MODES • Classic — the Switch you know. Match suits, match ranks, stack 2s, skip with 8s, reverse with Jacks, change suit with Aces • Ultimate — everything in Classic, plus Red Jokers (wild cards) and Black Jokers (bonus point cards), Sudden Death buy-backs, and higher stakes scoring MAKE IT YOURS • 9 card back designs including animated Aurora styles (With more on the way!) • Player colour themes, avatars, and win celebration effects (With more on the way!) • Name yourself, pick your look, and your opponents see it all online LEVEL UP • Earn XP from every game — more for harder wins, tournament runs, and Ultimate mode • 38 achievements across Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers • Track your stats: win streaks, cards played, specials used, tournament results • Quick Play streaks with increasing XP bonuses Why you’ll love it • Easy to learn, rewarding to try and master: This game can picked up and played by anyone of any level of card game experience, and the progression system, competitive leaderboards and the variety of game modes will keep you playing for hours and hours on end. • Fast rounds, big decisions: Play quick hands that reward timing and risk. • Customisation: Make this app your own! Chose layers of customisation above the Game Center customisation to fully set yourself apart. Whether it is your pack of cards or your explosive winning annimation, this will feel truly unique to you! • Fully integrated XP system • Game Center integration and leaderboards • CPU Player personalities How To Play: • Match the top card by suit or number to play your card and be one step closer to winning that round with an empty hand and a crown on your head. If you cannot match a suit or number however, you'll have to draw yet another card for your hand, hopefully it will be a special card to boost your chances of winning. • Play special cards to bend the rules: stack 2s to make your opponents take between 2 and 16 cards in a single go, skip peoples go with 8s, reverse direction of play with Jacks, and change the current suit with Aces. • When a player empties their hand, the round ends. Everyone else counts their remaining cards, this will then be deducted from their score to eliminate the losers. • The match continues over multiple rounds until a champion is crowned. Ultimate Mode: • Transform the Red Joker into any rank to keep your streak alive. • If you are unlucky enough to land the Black Joker then you're in for an extra challenge, but if you are skilled enough to play it you might have just won yourself the whole game! • Sudden Death Buy-Back! This mode allows one last shot to stay in the game, if all players land in a sudden death buy back then it'll winner takes all!
