Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Bitcoin Ticker at Free against CryptoWatch's $0.99. Bitcoin Ticker also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). CryptoWatch's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

Bitcoin Ticker is free to download; CryptoWatch costs $0.99 up front. Bitcoin Ticker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. CryptoWatch asks for nothing beyond the download.
Bitcoin Ticker holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bitcoin Ticker has 2K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Bitcoin Ticker's written reviews are positive against 86% of CryptoWatch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Bitcoin Ticker ships an update every 5 days, CryptoWatch every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
