In the most unbalanced field, combat starts everywhere. All cells have to observe and obey the jungle law: bigger cells prey upon smaller ones, big cells eat little cells. The law of the fang is never repealed, yet we have evolved to different strategies: 1) Feed, eject a small cell to attract your targets, or help your mates grow up; 2) Split, split into two same half cells, homed in on your target. You can play offline with computer AIs, or online with players world wide. Name you differently or you may be the target easily. Find your mates or you will lose it soon.

Verdict
Micro Panda and Cell Game both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of Micro Panda's written reviews are positive against 44% of Cell Game's. Micro Panda also leads on update cadence (every 5 months vs every 43 months) and ratings volume (21 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Cell Game holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Micro Panda has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of Micro Panda's written reviews are positive against 44% of Cell Game's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Micro Panda ships an update every 5 months, Cell Game every 43 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
