Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Dynamite Train at 5.0 against Talking Tom News for iPad's 4.4. Dynamite Train also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Talking Tom News for iPad's advantage is ratings volume (20K vs 4). On price and review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talking Tom News for iPad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dynamite Train asks for nothing beyond the download.
Dynamite Train holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talking Tom News for iPad has 20K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Talking Tom News for iPad's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dynamite Train's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
