Built for weather enthusiasts, storm spotters, and meteorologists, Radar Mobile brings NEXRAD Level 3 radar to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Your purchase includes core NEXRAD radar features without a separate data subscription. Optional AllisonHouse overlays require a separate paid subscription and are not included in the app purchase. Spotter Network features require a Spotter Network account. SEE TWO PRODUCTS AT ONCE Compare reflectivity and velocity in the dual-panel display, or pair other radar products to examine a storm from different perspectives. On iPhone and iPad, use a two-finger swipe to switch between dual-panel and single-panel views. LOOK BEYOND REFLECTIVITY Explore radar products including: • Base reflectivity and velocity at multiple elevation angles • Storm-relative velocity with user-selectable storm motion • Differential reflectivity, correlation coefficient, and specific differential phase • Hydrometeor classification • Echo tops and vertically integrated liquid • Storm total rainfall accumulation Use the national reflectivity mosaic to find areas of precipitation, then select an individual radar for a closer look. Product availability depends on the radar site and data source. FOLLOW CHANGING CONDITIONS Animate radar scans to watch precipitation develop and move. Display National Weather Service tornado, severe thunderstorm, and flash flood warnings alongside radar. On iPhone and iPad, tap a warning to read its details and use location services to show your position on the map. MAKE THE DISPLAY YOUR OWN • Customize radar color maps • Smooth reflectivity for a softer display • Hide or gray out reflectivity below a selected threshold • Add geographic context with map overlays • Pan and pinch to zoom on iPhone and iPad OPTIONAL CONNECTED SERVICES With a separate compatible Weather Pulse subscription, add lightning, radar storm tracks, tropical cyclone data, watch boxes, and mesoscale discussions. These services require your own Weather Pulse credentials; their subscription cost is additional to the app purchase. Connect a Spotter Network account to display spotter positions and reports. Radar Mobile displays NEXRAD Level 3 products. It does not include a Level II radar viewer. An internet connection is required to download weather data. Location access is optional.
