About

SteveSamply

SteveSamply is your private audio app for spontaneous ideas, samples, and voice notes. Capture what's happening right now, before it's gone. Note: SteveSamply is free to download. Using the recording, trimming, playback, and management features requires a separate, paid, auto-renewing annual subscription as an in-app purchase. With this small annual fee, you support ongoing development and get continued access. It's designed to stay fair and never be a burden. The developer welcomes feedback from the community and is happy to implement good ideas. Whether you're a musician, producer, podcaster, content creator, or simply someone who wants to capture good ideas quickly: SteveSamply helps you record audio effortlessly, save it locally, and find it again later. Many ideas appear exactly when you're not prepared: a quick rhythm, a hummed melody, a sound you hear on the go, a sentence, a rehearsal take, or a spontaneous thought. SteveSamply is built to capture these moments quickly. The app focuses on the essentials: record, save, organize, reuse. No cluttered interface, no complicated workflow. Open the app, start recording, save your idea to your local library. For selected recordings, you can optionally start a transcription. SteveSamply uses Apple's Speech framework with on-device speech recognition on iPhone, provided your device and language support it. Before subscribing, the app shows whether local transcription is available for your language. Use cases: - Capture song ideas and melodies - Collect samples and sound effects - Organize voice memos and rehearsal takes - Save notes and thoughts as audio - Save short takes for content, podcasts, or music production - Optionally display spoken content as text Your recordings stay on your device. SteveSamply uses no ads, no tracking, no external analytics services, and no external AI providers. External actions like sharing or opening a website only happen if you trigger them yourself. SteveSamply is also transparent about AI: the app does not use generative AI services such as ChatGPT, OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude. The only AI-adjacent feature is the optional speech recognition via Apple's system technology, used to transcribe your own recordings. Highlights: - Quick audio recording right on your iPhone - Local sample and recording library - No ads, no tracking, no external AI services - No unnecessary accounts - Privacy and AI information available directly in settings SteveSamply includes an auto-renewing annual subscription as an in-app purchase. Price, duration, and renewal information are shown in the app before purchase. The subscription can be managed or canceled anytime in your App Store account settings. Subscription: SteveSamply Annual Subscription Duration: 1 year Price: Shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country/region.
