This application exploits multitouch controls to explore a hypercube labeled as a 4-dimensional, 8-sided die. The hypercube's eight cube-shaped faces are rendered as a 4D being would see them in 4D light: thus, only one, two, three, or four cubic faces can appear at one time while the die rolls, but no more. Faces that would be invisible to a 4D gambler cannot be seen without interactively rolling the die to bring them into view.

This app allows users to draw and visualize four-dimensional figures using color to represent the fourth coordinate. It includes a help menu with drawing tutorials and creative ideas to aid in understanding 4D space.

It represents each point's first three coordinates in the usual way, while using color to represent the fourth coordinate. A built-in Help menu includes a “How to draw” page for an easy start, followed by a page of “4D construction ideas” to set you on your way towards visualizing 4-dimensional space. 4D Draw is intended for geometry students who want to learn to visualize 4‑dimensional space. People looking for a more recreational introduction to 4D should begin with 4D Maze instead. People looking for an even more recreational introduction to modern concepts of space and symmetry may enjoy the Torus Games or KaleidoPaint.
