PALADIN SECURITY is a free app that contains no ads and collects no data. It's just an app I made that may help you leverage your device's capability in real world situations, possibly keeping you safer. Paladin does this by incorporating 11 basic functions: MESSAGE allows the user to enter a message and delivers it in either large screen sized letters or flashing morse code. SOUND SENTRY allows the phone to be used as a dedicated sentry that sits patently, listening for any disturbing sounds. When a sound level is detected over the set threshold, the unit responds with an alarm and flashing lights. FLASH LIGHT uses the built in flash of your device as a light source with an adjustable intensity. (Please note that this particular function is only available with devices that support the rear flash hardware.) SCREEN LIGHT uses the screen of the device as an additional light source. You can select the color and the intensity. There is also an option to strobe the light at a variable speed in case you want to get attention. EMERGENCY FLASHER uses both the device flash (if available) and the front screen to flash out S.O.S. By using both the front and back of the device (if supported) as a flashing light source it increases the chances of being seen regardless of current position or how the device happens to land. PERSONAL PROTECTION uses the device as a fail safe protection device, a panic switch of sorts. Simply turn it on and place a finger or thumb on the screen. If anything happens to the user that lifts the finger, the phone will flash and set off an alarm. This will work even if you accidentally drop it or it is knocked from your hands. CALL displays a fake incoming call screen, in case you need to distract someone for a moment. TRIGGER sets up a panic screen that only needs the device to be touched or shaken to set off the alarm. COUNTDOWN is a quick selectable countdown timer that sounds the alarm unless it is canceled before the time expires. Example use would be to set it when going to your car and the alarm will sound if you don't cancel it when safe within the time limit. BEACON is a selectable pattern flasher using your device. HELP is a fixed large screen message indicating that you need assistance. Different messages are selectable. PLEASE NOTE: Continued use of the bright flash may dramatically decrease battery life. Devices without flash hardware will not have the rear flashlight function.
