Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is ads: Vibra Test at none against Machining Advisor Pro's shown. Vibra Test also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 15.0). Machining Advisor Pro's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 18 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Machining Advisor Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Machining Advisor Pro has 162 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Vibra Test's written reviews are positive against 17% of Machining Advisor Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Vibra Test ships an update every 18 months, Machining Advisor Pro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
