Most computer algebra systems either do all the work for you or allow you to make mistakes. Algebra Tool does neither. Algebra forces the human to choose the actions, but does not allow an incorrect result. Algebra Tool is ideal if you want to learn how to solve equations and systems of equations without the risk of a wrong answer. This app is free and has no ads.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Algebra Tool at none against Pre's 1. Algebra Tool also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Pre's advantage is ratings volume (357 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Algebra Tool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7.
