Verdict
The clearest difference is ratings volume: College Algebra at 599 against University Math's 1. College Algebra also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.4). University Math's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

College Algebra ships an update every 7 months, University Math every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
