Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Sonic Remote at $8.99 against LectroRM's $24.99. Sonic Remote also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 89%). LectroRM's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 26 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

LectroRM costs $24.99 and Sonic Remote $8.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
LectroRM holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LectroRM has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of LectroRM's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sonic Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
LectroRM ships an update every 3 months, Sonic Remote every 26 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
