Since 2011, iAbidan has been one of the most widely used dictionaries in the Myanmar community. Version 4 is a new app from the ground up: more than 91,000 English and Burmese entries, a cleaner reading experience, and tools that help you learn, not just look up. EVERY WORD, EXPLAINED PROPERLY Each entry is laid out like a good learner's dictionary: UK and US pronunciation with IPA, clear numbered meanings in English and Burmese, real example sentences, the patterns a word is used in, collocations, synonyms and antonyms, word family and origin. Every word inside a definition or example is a link, so an unfamiliar word is one tap from its own entry. SEARCH BOTH WAYS Type an English word or a Burmese word and reach the same entry. Suggestions appear as you type, and a misspelled word brings up "Did you mean…" alternatives. More than 21,500 Burmese headwords come with example sentences and English translations. HEAR IT SPOKEN Listen in US, UK or Australian English, with adjustable pitch and speed. Download the Burmese voice once and hear every Burmese word read aloud on your device. LOOK UP FROM ANYWHERE • Camera lookup: point your camera at a page to look up a word, or scan a sentence to see what a word means in context. • Search by speaking Burmese: tap the microphone in the search bar and say a word • Look Up from any app: select a word in Safari, Mail or Notes and choose iAbidan from the share sheet. LEARN SMARTER WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE On iPhone and iPad with Apple Intelligence, iAbidan adds three on-device tools. Meaning in Context picks the dictionary meaning that fits your sentence. Fix My Text corrects your English and explains each change. Word quizzes test you on the words you read. Nothing leaves your device. YOUR WORDS, ON EVERY DEVICE Recents and favourites keep the words you are learning close, with filters by date and language. Back them up, with your settings, to your own iCloud Drive or Google Drive and restore them on any device. Favourites from the previous version of iAbidan are brought across automatically. MADE FOR READING Light, dark or automatic theme, your choice of text size, and the whole app in Burmese or English. Designed for iPhone and iPad, with a layout built for the larger screen. ALWAYS UP TO DATE, ALWAYS OFFLINE The whole dictionary lives on your device, so it works without an internet connection. New words and corrections arrive between app updates: check for the latest dictionary data in Settings and install it in a tap. FREE TO USE Every entry and every feature is free. iAbidan Premium, a yearly subscription, simply removes the ads. Questions or suggestions? Write to support@iabidan.com. We read every message.

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TTDictionary at none against iAbidan's 1. TTDictionary also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). iAbidan's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 23 months) and ratings volume (489 vs 56). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.
