Challenge your musical skill with Interval by determining which chord was played. For each puzzle, three chords are played with the musical notation displayed for the first two. The third chord will be one of four choices displayed - choose your answer by touching the right chord. The point value for each game will be added to your score for the correct answer, but half the points will be deducted for each wrong one. You can play the three chords as many times as you like, and you can move on to the next puzzle without answering and without penalty. Your musical knowledge will increase with repeated playing of the game. You can choose between piano and church organ for the game's instrument.

Interval min is free to download; Piano Notes! costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Interval min holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Piano Notes! has 36 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Piano Notes!'s written reviews are positive against 50% of Interval min's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Piano Notes! ships an update every 3 months, Interval min every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
