Backgammon is not a game of luck as many perceive, but rather, a strategic visual game of war; in many ways it is as difficult to master as chess. Although an element of luck is involved, a skilled backgammon player uses intuition, calculations, creativity and psychology to beat the opponent. The goal in backgamon online is to move all own checkers into the home board and then bear them off (i.e. remove them from the backgammon board). The first backgammon player to remove all of his checkers wins the backgammon game. The Help section of Backgammon Live Online presents rules and strategies for backgammon. You will learn the best ways to play your opening rolls, how to Build a Blockade, how to Establish Anchors, how to Optimize Distribution of Checkers and how to Reduce 'Good' Rolls for the Opponent. The backgammon strategies section describes When to Expose Checkers vs. When to Consolidate Them and how to make a decision When to Hit or not to Hit opponent's backgammon checker. Although backgammon is a very old game, it still continues to fascinate its numerous fans around the globe. It is no wonder that nowadays there are many spellings and acronyms of the game's name. Backgammon can be referred to as: gammon, backgamon and even baggamon, baggammon and bagamon and bagammon! In Greece and Turkey, backgammon is known as tavla. In Iran and Russia, they call backgammon nardi. If backgammon were strictly a game of chance, players would only be expected to win on average just about one half of their games. Yet, just like in chess, stronger backgammon players consistently win games against backgammon newbies. There is a lot more skill required in backgammon than just rolling the dice and mindlessly racing checkers around the board! Backgammon Live Online app won't bedazzle you with currently fashionable 3D graphics. However, you’ll discover that this online backgammon app is a fast-paced and at the same time comfortable, relaxing and familiar parlor game of old. Backgammon Live Online offers an authentic backgammon experience in an online backgammon club where you can chat, play and compete against other real players on the net and fall in love with this board game that’s been played for thousands of years. Do you know the difference between 'gammon' and 'backgammon' in backgammon matches? A gammon is a completed game of backgammon in which the losing player has not borne off any checkers. A gammon is also called a double game because the winner receives twice the value of the doubling cube. A backgammon is a completed game of backgammon in which the losing player has not borne off any checkers and still has one or more checkers on the bar or in the winner's home board. LuckySheshBesh© is a game that contains all the classic elements of the old Backgammon game but, what is special about it, is that it adds "spices" that give the players more tactical thinking, excitement, surprises, and fun. The Lucky SheshBesh© is a backgammon game with slight changes in the concept of the classic game. # GAME BOARD 15 Checkers for each player which have a different effect on the progress of the game and the outcome of the game. In this version, 2 of them are: one is the King's checker and the second is the Prince's checker; # 2 game dice; # Additional checker, the sixteenth checker who does not participate during the game, is the Queen's checker; #The Lucky Wheel (determines a kind of bonus); #The Power of Queen Wheel (determines a points of bonus to the results). # HOW TO PLAY Each player begins with fifteen pieces that are placed on the board as you can see in the drawing number 2. All checkers, including the King's checker and the Prince's checker, move on the game board according to the same rules as in the Backgammon game. The Queen's checker does not participate during the game and it is off the board. The Lucky Wheel is activated when there are certain results of the 2 game dice that create a "twist" in the game. It happens when the result of the game dice is one of these, 5:6 or 5:5 or 6:6. A player who receives one of these results has to choose from one of two options. Either spin the Lucky Wheel or move his checkers according to the dice result like usual. If he chose to spin the Lucky Wheel he receives a bonus according to the result of spinning the wheel. # QUEEN WHEEL If the result is the Queen only then, another wheel is automatically activated - the Queen Power wheel. The result of this wheel spin determines the level of power of the Queen's checker on the outcome of the game. In this wheel there are 3 possible results 1. Uno Queen - power is one extra point for the game result. 2. Silver Queen - power is equal two extra points to the game result. 3. Golden Queen - power is equal to three extra points to the result of the game. #WINNING The kind of the victory in this version 1. Simple Win - One player took out all his checkers from the game board and the other player managed to bear off the King's checker and the Prince's checker = 1 point. (And it doesn't matter about the other simple checkers) 2. Royal Win - One player took out all his checkers from the game board and the other player managed to bear off only either the King's checker or the Prince's checker = 2 points. (And it doesn't matter about the other simple checkers) 3. Kingdom Win - One player has removed all his checkers from the game board and the other player has not yet removed from the board the King's checker and the Prince's checker, both of them (even if he bear off some or all his a simple checkers) = 3 points. The final result of the game is determined by adding the Queen's Power to the result of the game.
