Caboose
Read full descriptionHide full description
The Mexican Train scorecard that never loses track of a round. Caboose shows the next engine big and bright, keeps every round in one grid, and highlights who is leading (lowest wins). After each round, type each player's pips on a big number pad, give whoever went out a zero with one tap, or let the tile picker add up the dominoes left in a hand. • Double 12, double 15 and double 18 sets: 13, 16 or 19 rounds, or a shorter game • 2 to 8 players with double 12, up to 12 with double 15 and 18 • Play the doubles in any order: Caboose tracks which ones are left and suggests the next engine • Optional house rule: the double blank counts 50 • Fix any past round or undo; totals recompute instantly • iPad and landscape: the whole grid on one screen, round entry beside it; the screen stays on during play • Works fully offline. No ads, no account, no tracking Pro (one-time purchase): unlimited game history, player stats and head-to-head records, sunset and blue express colors, and a shareable picture of the final standings.

Verdict
ScoreApp and Caboose are too close to call on the numbers: across 5 compared parameters — price, ads, in-app purchases and device support among them — neither pulls far enough ahead to decide it. What separates them is feature set and interface, not measurable difference.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. ScoreApp sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Caboose sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
