Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Intermatic Optimizer at Free against 12 Steps Speakers's $2.99. Intermatic Optimizer also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). 12 Steps Speakers's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.6). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
