Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Streamlabs Controller at none against YouNow's shown. YouNow's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (29K vs 2.2K). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. YouNow sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Streamlabs Controller sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $34.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for YouNow against 4.6 for Streamlabs Controller. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YouNow has 29K ratings behind it against 2.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 34% of YouNow's written reviews are positive against 27% of Streamlabs Controller's.
YouNow ships an update every 6 days, Streamlabs Controller every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
