Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: VPD Chart at 4.5 against AutoSilent's 3.5. VPD Chart also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 42%). AutoSilent's advantage is ratings volume (183 vs 30) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AutoSilent sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and VPD Chart sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
VPD Chart holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AutoSilent has 183 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 42% of AutoSilent's written reviews are positive against 74% of VPD Chart's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
