Polimi Library vs BinP

Polimi Library is the App for the libraries of the Politecnico Milano. Designed specifically for library patrons, you can use it to search the catalog of the university, using smartphones and tablets. With the App Polimi Library you can: • View your reader status • Request, book or extend a loan • Save your bibliographies • Choose your favorite libraries, to highlight the material they have. • Receive library notifications • Suggest new purchases to your library With the Polimi Library APP you can search using the keyboard typing or by voice, dictating the title or keywords of the desired document. Searches can also be done by reading the bar code ISBNs by activating the scanner. Moreover, with the Polimi Library App you can: • View a gallery of new books together with the latest news • Refine the search using facets (title, author, ...) • Change the order of the results: from relevance to title or to author or year of publication ... and with the social network functions you can share your favorite books on social media! Using the navigation menu you can: • consult the libraries list and map with relative information (address, opening times ...) • read messages addressed to you Enrich your life, download the Polimi Library APP!

With BinP you can search the library catalogue for books and documents in libraries in the Veneto Regional Library System. You can: - Search library holdings for availability of books and other materials or use a fast bar code search to find documents. - Check the availability of documents in libraries. - Request or place booking for the loan of an item or extend an item’s loan period. - Save items in your personal bibliography. - Suggest an item for purchase to the librarian. - Check your status as a library patron. - view new pubblications on the title page. Furthermore, this version includes: - iPad desing which uses the the full iPad screen to make more information immediately available. - new search filters and capabilities using facets and classifications: tags, authors, year of publication, material types, etc... - you can now choose multiple preferred libraries. - listings highlight documents available in preferred libraries. - document details show availability on the same page. - you can now share events, news and titles on the major social networks. - recommended reading ("people who read this, also read...") - synchronize your bibliograohy with the library portal. - libraries can be viewed by subsystem, list or map together with opening hour, directions ecc... - news is updated in real time.
