AutoLog LE Managing car maintenance made simple. AutoLog LE is a versatile app designed with the car enthusiast in mind. Yet, it is an essential app for anyone interested in keeping a detailed maintenance log for any type of car, normal, classic or collectable. After many years keeping paper logs or Excel based logs, we created AutoLog to take the time an effort out of this task. This Lite version of the app has all of the same functionality of it's big sister, AutoLog with one exception. It only supports managing one car. It is a great way to take AutoLog for a test drive. In either case your log is always in your pocket and just a few quick taps creates useful data that is simple to maintain. No more forgetting to make an entry when you arrive home. Plus the answers to your maintenance questions can be found at the tip of your fingers. Then when you decide that you are ready to manage multiple cars you can purchase AutoLog. Using the backup and restore functions you are able to transfer your data from AutoLog LE to AutoLog in a few simple steps.

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Auto Care Tracker at 83% against AutoLogLE's 33%. Auto Care Tracker also leads on ratings volume (105 vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). AutoLogLE's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Care Tracker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. AutoLogLE asks for nothing beyond the download.
AutoLogLE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auto Care Tracker has 105 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of AutoLogLE's written reviews are positive against 83% of Auto Care Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AutoLogLE ships an update every 3 months, Auto Care Tracker every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
