Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Halloween Maths Lite at 100% against Hands's 30%. Halloween Maths Lite also leads on price (Free vs $2.99) and ratings volume (19 vs 1). Hands's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 37 months). On ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Hands holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Halloween Maths Lite has 19 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Hands's written reviews are positive against 100% of Halloween Maths Lite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Hands ships an update every 6 months, Halloween Maths Lite every 37 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
