NonRev is a term used by airlines to refer to non-revenue passengers, that is, passengers flying for free. This includes airline employees and their families, as well as buddy pass travelers and so on. Generally NonRevs travel standby and are given seats only after paid passengers are accounted for. NonRev app helps you plan your NonRev adventures by allowing you to search for flights and see an estimate of how good your chances are of getting a seat on any given flight.* NonRev app is subscription-based, however, even without a subscription you can search for flights between LAX, JFK, ATL, ORD, and LHR. *Due to technical factors, currently no NonRev status is available for Southwest Airlines.

What's on the Rappul App? FREE for all users there's a robust flight search utility, and for Rappul Account Users so much more... - The FREE flight search tool allows you to find worldwide flight schedules and flight timetables. Using partner flight connection building engine allows you to find exactly the scheduled routes you're looking for, including interline route connection solutions! - For Rappul Accounts Users - Rappul (RAP-Pull) is a utility that mainly automates monitoring of reserve and other crew member scheduling functions, giving you text and WhatsApp alerts based on user preferences. It provides crew members a shared mental model of their role in the reserve/scheduling system without checking company websites. In addition to reserve functions, Rappul monitors crew websites for opportunities not automatically communicated. This includes trips assigned to reserves not run through open time, split trips currently in open time, and reserve staffing status. Rappul also includes for FREE Vacation Trading and Open Time trip information. Rappul App allows account users have access to all their Rappul settings to control the alerts and data provided to the crews: - Reserve Alerts and Status - Open Time Alerts and Stealth Open Time (trips assign to reserves and not run through company open time system) - Split Trips (STC)...alerts for trips split between bases - Open Time filtering and sorting, including deadhead filtering through commuter stations - Assigned Reserve crew members with filters and sorts - Vacation week trading - Slug...a crew member commuter flight search utility (short for slugging...legalized hitchhiking). The flight search allows crew members the ability to save commuter flight information, and search based on commuter clauses

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Rappul at 5.0 against NonRev's 4.5. Rappul also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). NonRev's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (404 vs 10). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Rappul holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NonRev has 404 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of NonRev's written reviews are positive against 0% of Rappul's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

NonRev ships an update every 3 months, Rappul monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
