Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: HE.NET Network Tools at 76% against Magical Finder's 15%. HE.NET Network Tools also leads on ratings volume (72 vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Magical Finder's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Magical Finder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HE.NET Network Tools has 72 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 15% of Magical Finder's written reviews are positive against 76% of HE.NET Network Tools's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Magical Finder ships an update every 9 months, HE.NET Network Tools every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
