The clearest difference is rating: TheGaits at 5.0 against 700 ESPN's 1.8. TheGaits also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). 700 ESPN's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 0%) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
TheGaits holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of TheGaits's written reviews are positive against 33% of 700 ESPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TheGaits ships an update every 6 months, 700 ESPN every 4 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
