Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Shopping List at 4.4 against Shopper's Note's 3.0. Shopping List also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (84 vs 1). Shopper's Note's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (70% vs 56%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shopper's Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Shopping List asks for nothing beyond the download.
Shopping List holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shopping List has 84 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Shopper's Note's written reviews are positive against 56% of Shopping List's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Shopper's Note ships an update monthly, Shopping List every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
