Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Epson iProjection at 4.3 against MultiPresenter's 3.0. Epson iProjection also leads on ratings volume (3.4K vs 1). MultiPresenter's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Epson iProjection holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epson iProjection has 3.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Epson iProjection's written reviews are positive against 25% of MultiPresenter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
