Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: 当当云阅读 at 4.7 against 世界名著's 4.2. 当当云阅读 also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (988 vs 10). 世界名著's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 74%) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. 当当云阅读 sells 21 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month and 世界名著 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
当当云阅读 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 当当云阅读 has 988 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of 当当云阅读's written reviews are positive against 100% of 世界名著's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
当当云阅读 ships an update every 2 weeks, 世界名著 every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
