Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is price: Harvey at Free against TouchTax's $4.99. Harvey also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 63%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 6 months). TouchTax's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and ratings volume (149 vs 23). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

TouchTax holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TouchTax has 149 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of TouchTax's written reviews are positive against 100% of Harvey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

TouchTax ships an update every 6 months, Harvey weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
