Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Boxes at Free against Fingle's $1.99. Boxes also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 14) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Fingle's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Boxes is free to download; Fingle costs $1.99 up front. Boxes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Fingle asks for nothing beyond the download.
Boxes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boxes has 13K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Fingle's written reviews are positive against 85% of Boxes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Fingle ships an update every 3 months, Boxes monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
