Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GNSS View at none against Coordinates's 6. GNSS View also leads on ads (none vs shown). Coordinates's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (6.6K vs 19). On price, review sentiment and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Coordinates holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coordinates has 6.6K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Coordinates's written reviews are positive against 69% of GNSS View's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Coordinates ships an update monthly, GNSS View every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
