Tired of 7 steps to change your alarm? Wake Up is a simple alarm clock that allows you to wake up to full songs in your music library. Instructions: Choose a song and a time to wake up. Click Save. When the alarm goes off you can Snooze, Disable, or Wake Up!, which simply keeps the song playing until it ends. IMPORTANT USE INFORMATION: • Do not leave the app until you see the "Alarm is set..." status. • Once the alarm is set, if you play other audio (i.e. from Music or YouTube), the iPhone will cancel the Wake Up audio. • The app needs to be open or in the background in order for the audio alarm to fire. That's the way it has to be to get the whole song playing. Enjoy ! MORE NOTES: The alarm automatically sets for the next day if that time has already passed today. (See the status description for confirmation)

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: WA at 83% against Get Up's 0%. WA also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 26.0). Get Up's advantage is rating (4.0 vs 2.5) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Get Up sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. WA asks for nothing beyond the download.
Get Up holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Get Up has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of WA's written reviews are positive against 0% of Get Up's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
WA ships an update every 3 months, Get Up monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
