Calculate depth of field before you take the shot. Choose your camera, then adjust subject distance, aperture and focal length with three horizontal sliders. See your focus limits update as you move. SEE WHAT STAYS SHARP A live scene shows your settings at work. Flowers, a dog, a house and distant mountains sit at real distances, and each blurs according to your focus distance, aperture and lens. Open up the aperture and watch the background melt; zoom in and the scene tightens. You can turn the scene's animation off in Settings. MADE FOR IPHONE DUO Stand it up and the results face you while the sliders lie flat under your thumbs. Open it like a book and results and controls each get their own half, clear of the fold. Close it and everything moves to the outer screen, with your controls in the side bar. Layouts move smoothly as you fold. READ YOUR FOCUS RANGE See the near and far focus limits, total depth of field, and the distance in front of and behind your subject. Check hyperfocal distance when planning a landscape or a scene with distant detail. CHOOSE YOUR CAMERA Browse profiles for modern digital cameras, vintage cameras and film formats. Each profile supplies the circle of confusion used in the calculation. ADJUST WITH ONE HAND Keep settings and results on one screen. Work in metres or feet and inches, with optional aperture snapping and haptic feedback. START WITH THE INCLUDED PROFILES DOF Slider includes free camera profiles and standard calculation ranges. Additional camera packs and macro, telephoto and extended distance ranges are optional one-time in-app purchases. Restore existing purchases from Settings. No ads. No subscription. No sign-in required. Calculations work offline with the available camera catalog; catalog updates and purchases need an internet connection.
