Nutrient Wise vs Vocala

Learn about what you eat and make the right choices. Nutrient Wise lets you find the nutrient facts of over 5,800 foods. With the profile selector, see what’s truly important to your situation. If you need to track your nutrient intake, this application is designed to assist you by focusing on the few nutrient matching your profile. For example, if you have a kidney disease, that avocado might not be such a good idea once you’ve seen the amount of potassium one fruit contains! The available profiles are: Diabetes, Pregnant woman, Hypertension, Lipids and Kidney disease. There’s also a generic profile to display what’s usually found on a nutritive facts label. There’s also a favorite list, where you can add (or remove) the food you often go back to... like a nice chocolate milk. Should you? That’s when Nutrient Wise will be handy! Nutritionists can use this application as a reference. The data is adapted from the 2010 Canadian Nutrient File assembled by Health Canada. You can also change the language on the fly.
