Verdict
明星捕鱼 and 微乐家乡麻将移动版 both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 66% of 明星捕鱼's written reviews are positive against 40% of 微乐家乡麻将移动版's. 明星捕鱼 also leads on chart position (#129 vs unranked). 微乐家乡麻将移动版's advantage is ratings volume (90K vs 3.4K) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. 明星捕鱼 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and 微乐家乡麻将移动版 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for 明星捕鱼 against 4.5 for 微乐家乡麻将移动版. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 微乐家乡麻将移动版 has 90K ratings behind it against 3.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of 明星捕鱼's written reviews are positive against 40% of 微乐家乡麻将移动版's.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
