Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Doodle Matching at none against Memory's shown. Doodle Matching also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Memory's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (10K vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memory sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Doodle Matching sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Doodle Matching holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memory has 10K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Memory's written reviews are positive against 100% of Doodle Matching's.
Memory ships an update every 11 days, Doodle Matching every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
