Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: RUN interval at none against Pace Calculator's shown. RUN interval also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1K vs 39). Pace Calculator's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Pace Calculator sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and RUN interval sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
RUN interval holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RUN interval has 1K ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 68% of Pace Calculator's written reviews are positive against 77% of RUN interval's.
Pace Calculator ships an update every 5 days, RUN interval every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
