Verdict
The clearest difference is price: EarpTool at Free against Massage Therapy's $1.99. EarpTool also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 139 months). Massage Therapy's advantage is rating (2.9 vs 2.2). On review sentiment, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

EarpTool is free to download; Massage Therapy costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Massage Therapy holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 24 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Massage Therapy's written reviews are positive against 40% of EarpTool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Massage Therapy ships an update every 139 months, EarpTool every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
