iCharades is an app I needed one family evening that just wasn't available. So I created it. There's plenty of charades apps but they all have gimmicks that just get in the way. If you want a list of charades cards that you can randomly flick through, with no gimmicks or having to enter player names etc.. and all for FREE then try iCharades. What more do you need for a family game of charades! iCharades remembers which cards you have seen so you do not keep seeing the same thing over and over like some other apps. If you are not sure you can perform the charade presented to you, simple move to the next one. For FREE you get 1100 cards in 3 categories. Movies, Songs & Books. The free version also includes some adverts to help fund the development costs. If your feeling adventurous and fancy a challenge, why not upgrade to the Pro version where you get almost 1000 additional cards covering TV shows and the very challenging Countries and People categories. Adverts will also be removed.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: iCharades at 4.6 against Sneaky Sloth's 1.0. iCharades also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Sneaky Sloth's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (86% vs 71%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iCharades sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Sneaky Sloth sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
iCharades holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iCharades has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of iCharades's written reviews are positive against 86% of Sneaky Sloth's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
iCharades ships an update every 4 months, Sneaky Sloth weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
