About

Oceanodesy

This utility app converts between geodetic and grid coordinate systems. It supports various units for latitude, longitude, and grid coordinates, along with multiple datums and projections for accurate geospatial transformations.

Highlights
  • Geodetic to grid coordinate conversion
  • Grid to geodetic coordinate conversion
  • Multiple latitude/longitude formats (DD, DMM, DMS)
  • Multiple grid coordinate units (US Feet, Intl Feet, Meters)
  • Support for multiple datums (WGS84, NAD27, NAD83, etc.)
  • Support for multiple projections (UTM, SPCS27, SPCS83)
  • Store and export projected coordinates
Features

Oceanodesy projects and inverses between geodetic coordinates (latitude and longitude) and grid coordinates (easting and northing). Latitude and longitude coordinates are accepted and displayed in Decimal Degrees (DD.dd), Decimal Minutes (DD MM.mm), and Decimal Seconds (DD MM SS.ss). Grid coordinates are accepted and displayed in US Feet, International Feet, and Meters. Projected coordinates can be stored for later reference or export. Available Datums: - World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84) - North American Datum 1927 (NAD27) - North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) - Sistema de Referencia Geocentrico para las AmericaS 2000 (SIRGAS2000) - Indian 1975 Datum - Hartebeesthoek 1994 Datum - European Datum 1950 Available Projections: - Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) - State Plane Coordinate System 1927 (SPCS27) - State Plane Coordinate System 1983 (SPCS83)

About

3D Interpolation

Calculate key directional drilling parameters like TVD, coordinates, and displacement. This tool aids drilling engineers and students in oil well directional drilling by interpolating survey data.

Highlights
  • Calculate TVD, N/S, E/W coordinates
  • Determine Horizontal Displacement
  • Calculate Dog-Leg Severity
  • Measure Build-Up Rate
  • Calculate Turn Rate
  • Interpolate parameters between survey stations

The 3D Interpolation provides an useful tool to calculate projections TVD (True Vertical Depth), N/S and E/W coordinates, Horizontal Displacement, Dog-Leg Severity, Build-Up Rate (Angle Rate, Intensity) and Turn Rate and also the Interpolation of these parameters between two well planning sections or survey stations defined by Measured Depth, Inclination and Azimuth as entry parameters in the directional drilling of oil wells. Calculations Method: Minimum Curvature Length Units: Foot and Meter (Metre) Intensity Units: degree/100ft, degree/10m, degree/30m and degree/100m Our goal was to create a low-cost application with the help of experts to share with drilling engineers, technicians, drillers, students and teachers of drilling engineering.
