Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: CL StageMix at 3.3 against M's 3.0. CL StageMix also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 2). M's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 30%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

CL StageMix holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CL StageMix has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of CL StageMix's written reviews are positive against 50% of M's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

CL StageMix ships an update every 4 months, M every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
