Professional RC helicopter and drone simulator - a must have for anyone flying RC. We have the most realistic flight behavior on mobile phones and tablets. Our models fly just the same as real RC models, in real RC flying fields. Do not fly your real model before trying this program! Don't crash your models, crash ours! Crashing models here cost nothing. This application will save you money, frustration and many days in waiting for model parts. Learn to fly without fear. Rain or wind outside, start flying right now! The program includes wide range of RC models, from starter models to expensive aerobatic and scale models. This is the only RC simulator that includes RC boats and RC cars, in addition to excellent simulation of RC helicopters, RC planes and RC drones. Great for experienced modelers, and even greater for kids or someone who is just starting in this exciting hobby. The program includes 3 free interactive object sets that can be loaded on any flying field when flying helicopters. The interactive objects can be used to learn landing and precise model control. In addition to the fixed point camera that represents the RC pilot point of view, we have included follow up camera that follows the model. That is useful when you just start, so the model never gets away. Notes: 1. This is not a game. You are controlling flying RC models that reacts like real flying models. It takes some time to learn, and again, do not expect "arcade" style controls. 2. The onscreen control sticks are just indicators! They are made small so they do not obscure the screen. *** You do not need to keep your fingers on them *** Sliding your finger any where on the right screen half affects the right control stick , the same for the left screen part - sliding finger there moves the left control stick. We suggest to select beginner settings at first few days before you can comfortably progress further.

Flying inverted, or recovering from an orientation you've never been in before, usually costs a few real helicopters to learn by trial and error. HeliSense gives you somewhere to build that muscle memory first — on iPhone, iPad and Mac, one purchase covering all three through Universal Purchase. REAL TRANSMITTERS RC sims on mobile devices are typically built around a touchscreen. HeliSense also connects to a VBar Control Touch over Wi-Fi (WiFi Sim), or any transmitter with an ExpressLRS module (WiFi Joystick) — plus Bluetooth MFi controllers and on-screen sticks for everyone else. On Mac, that support widens further, to virtually any RC transmitter except toy-grade ones. For more information on supported controllers and transmitters, see helisense.app/controllers ORIENTATION TRAINER Six modes — Yaw Only, Roll Only, Pitch Only, Roll & Pitch, All Axes, and Single Axis (Random) — cover every orientation: tail-in, nose-in, either side-in, right way up or inverted. Isolate whichever axis needs the most work, then layer the others back in as each one becomes automatic, building genuine muscle memory along the way. Optional helper arrows nudge you the right way while a new orientation is still sinking in. Replay every set afterwards at ¼, ½ or full speed with a deviation gauge and stick traces, so you can see precisely what happened on each axis and fix it next time. FLIGHT SIMULATOR Free flight is where HeliSense really opens up. Immersive, photoreal scenes, and flight physics modeled on how a real helicopter actually flies — refined with feedback from national competition winners. Autorotation and overspeed are included, along with realistic engine and rotor sound, and configurable camera settings to frame the view exactly how you want. Start on the Beginner tuning preset and just fly. Sport and 3D presets are there when you want to push further, and underneath them you can dial in your own maximum pitch, headspeed, agility, control response and expo — none of which you need to touch to get started. Want to work on maneuvers like piro-flips without chasing the helicopter across the sky? No-collective mode holds it around a fixed point so you can focus on just that. Fly online with up to eight other pilots, in a public demo room or a private one you share by code (needs a Simulator or Pro purchase). CUSTOM BACKGROUNDS Turn a photo of your own field into a background, sun position included, for the Trainer and No-collective mode (needs a Trainer or Simulator purchase). IN THE BOX Two 700-size helicopters included, one electric and one nitro. More helicopters and scenery are planned as in-app purchases in future updates — some may be free. SILHOUETTE RECOGNITION A helicopter's silhouette flashes up and you pick the correctly-oriented one — quick, fun practice for reading orientation at a glance. Unlocks with either purchase. Every feature is free to try in short sessions, with no limit on how long you can keep using the free tier — just a cap per sitting. A one-time purchase (no subscription) unlocks unlimited use, and Universal Purchase means one purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac together. Requires iOS 26 or iPadOS 26.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: HeliSense at 5.0 against Absolute RC Heli Sim's 4.4. HeliSense also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). Absolute RC Heli Sim's advantage is ratings volume (565 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.
