Look up a condition and see the type and duration of isolation precautions CDC recommends, in CDC's own words. CDC'S WORDS, UNCHANGED - All of CDC's Appendix A, "Type and Duration of Precautions Recommended for Selected Infections and Conditions": 298 entries, each with CDC's type of precaution, duration and comments. - Nothing is reworded. Each copy is checked against CDC's page, field by field, before it ships. - Where CDC's table only points to another CDC page (influenza, monkeypox, Ebola and other viral hemorrhagic fevers), the key sentences from that page are shown, word for word, with its date and a link. - Organisms the table does not list, such as CRE, Candida auris and MERS, show CDC's own guidance for them. - Every condition shows the date CDC last updated its page and links to it. - When CDC changes its page, the app updates itself without waiting for an App Store update. FIND IT FAST - Search by condition, organism or any word in CDC's comments, with suggestions for misspellings. Common names and abbreviations work too: RSV, TB, UTI, bird flu. - Browse A to Z, or filter to Contact, Droplet, Airborne or Standard Precautions. - Precaution badges at a glance. Entries whose type says to see CDC's comments are never hidden by a filter. STANDARD AND TRANSMISSION-BASED PRECAUTIONS - CDC's Summary of Recommendations for Standard, Contact, Droplet and Airborne Precautions, with each recommendation's number and evidence category. - Putting on and removing PPE, step by step, from CDC's PPE sequence. - When to stop precautions, from CDC's isolation guideline. YOURS - Favorites, and your own notes on any condition, kept on your device and always shown apart from CDC's text. - Upgrading from an earlier version? Your favorites come across, and anything you edited or added is kept as your own notes. iPhone and iPad, Dark Mode and larger text. No account, no ads, no tracking. CDC's isolation guidance, verbatim and dated. Not medical advice; follow your facility's policy. This app is made by Hipposoft, LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reviewed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
