Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: uDisk at 4.3 against USBZile's 3.7. uDisk also leads on ratings volume (233 vs 3) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). USBZile's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uDisk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. USBZile asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

uDisk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uDisk has 233 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of uDisk's written reviews are positive against 100% of USBZile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

uDisk ships an update every 2 months, USBZile fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
