Learn Spanish the way you'd actually spend your evening: watching a telenovela. Casa Carmen teaches beginner Spanish through "La Casa de Abuela Carmen" — an original animated telenovela about a nosy grandmother, a suspiciously charming new neighbor, and a neighborhood where everyone is watching everyone. Episodes are 60–90 seconds, fully voiced in Spanish, with big dual Spanish/English subtitles and key vocabulary highlighted as it's spoken. HOW IT WORKS • Watch a short episode — real dialogue, real drama, learner pacing • Practice what you just heard — exercises built from each episode's lines • Answer Carmen yourself — after every episode she asks about YOUR life, in Spanish, and coaches your answer without ever marking it wrong • Read the neighborhood's paper trail — Esperanza's surveillance notebook, love letters, recipe cards — short in-world texts at exactly your level • Save lines, words, and grammar drills as you go — everything feeds one spaced-repetition review deck (flip cards, typed recall, say-the-line) • Tune into Radio Casa Carmen — the episodes you've watched as a radio feed, with original segments you haven't heard to train your ear • Keep your streak — the sun rises with your daily progress WHY A TELENOVELA? Because you remember stories, not word lists. Every phrase you learn arrives attached to a scene, a face, and a dramatic sting. You'll know what "¿Quién es ese chico?" means because you were there when Abuela Carmen said it. WHAT'S FREE The first episodes, their exercises, and review are free. Casa Carmen Pro unlocks every episode of the season and new episodes as they drop. Aprende español con el drama. El drama no espera.
